Mary Anne Davids
Hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mary was influenced early on by the art of the Southwest and the geometric shapes that represent some piece of the natural world. Even the petroglyphs painted on stone walls—a simple but concise description of life and the surroundings—inspire her. Her art often uses symbols to convey an idea, a movement, a feeling.
Mary is now based in Brooklyn, New York, where she creates contemporary folk art. Her works are abstract mirrors of her own environment.
